Questions and Answers
Grief and Addiction
is our third study in the Breaking Free series. Addictive behaviors are often the “fire†that’s started to distract from grief and pain. Addiction is also a breeding ground for grief. It multiplies, complicates, and compounds it. Learning to mourn and heal by surrendering our grief to God, allows us to move forward in a healthy way. This study challenges us to confront our own grief points and turn to the Lord for healing, strength, and courage.
Q:
is this a short handbook, or is this a short book? The title and the brief description don't seem like they are explaining the same materials

A:
Hi Rachelle It is a short book, one of several in the series.
Here's a better description:
PSNL 307: Understanding Grief and Addiction is our third study in the Breaking Free series. Addictive behaviors are often the “fire” that’s started to distract from grief and pain.
We will answer questions like: Why talk about grief? What does grief (in the context of addiction) look like and how do we identify our grief points? How can we understand the grief of those we love? And how can we grieve in a healthy way?
Our goal is to fully surrender our hearts to the Lord and to offer a sacrifice of praise, even in times of deep sorrow. For it is only through Him that we can find our peace, our hope, and our joy!
